The JT R&D Group has members of over 50 different nationalities and places great emphasis on developing human resources who can be active on a global scale. Intercultural communication skills are essential to bring together with diverse members whose nationalities and cultural backgrounds are different. Therefore, we have established seminars and workshops to learn English and deepen understanding of intercultural, and there are many training menus to identify your own communication style and acquire the necessary techniques to communicate effectively with diverse members.
Assignments and transfers value the wishes and intentions of members
The JT R&D Group considers communication between superiors and juniors to be very important, so that each person can move forward in the best possible career. Opportunities are arranged once a year for superiors and juniors to talk thoroughly with each other about careers. In addition to this, care is taken to create an atmosphere that allows casual conversations between superiors and juniors as well as between colleagues during daily work. After entering our company, it is critical for members to first of all learn thoroughly about the JT Group and understand their own roles as well as their connections with others. Therefore, during the first year of entry new members deepen their understanding of the JT Group’s businesses by participating in R&D Group introductory training and other training programs held by the R&D Group, and practical training on manufacturing and sales. At the same time, they engage in actual work in the teams they belong to while receiving support from superiors and senior employees, as they learn to apply their own specialties and individual characteristics in their work.
